The completed chain stay jig with a couple of raw stays installed. The rear dropouts are attached to the stays first. The drop outs are then clamped to the aprropriate width rear axle and the vee blocks are adjusted to suit the bottom bracket width. The entire assembly is then clamped in the vise on the milling machine and the stays are then cut to length and mitered in one operation using a hole saw that matches the diameter of the bottom bracket.
