First bump in the road

In August I booked a room at the Juyoh Hotel for a week in Tokyo via the Internet. I received a confirmation and thought that I was good to go and have planned all of my activities using the Juyoh as a base. I used my Gmail account for the correspondence which I usually access via my iPhone. Today I used the Gmail web interface for the first time in weeks and found that I had received another message from the Juyoh asking for further confirmation within 48 hours. Unfortunately Gmail had flagged this message as SPAM and silently moved it into a SPAM folder so I never saw the message. There is no way to know that this has been done unless you use the web interface. I have now turned Gmail‘s SPAM filtering off and have replied to the hotel with an apology for being late but have not yet received a response. I hope that I will not be looking for another room at the last minute.
